The essence of discipleship is following Jesus with the goal of becoming like Him. This is our destiny as believers. (Romans 8:29) We have been commissioned by the Lord to encourage the people we encounter along life’s path to likewise become followers of Him. (Matthew 28:19)

Discipleship is the core of Christianity. It is not an activity reserved only for the most devout; although it requires utter devotion.

Discipleship is a life long journey. These lessons may be your beginning point or simply one more step along your path. When you complete this course, you will know how to be both a disciple and a disciple maker. Therefore go and make disciples of the people you meet along your path, immersing them in the authority, essence, power, and glory of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus has commanded you. For He is with you always, to the very end of the age.
